EKG education across the practice continuum

We offer introductory and advanced courses

Each course can be used by institutions to sponsor their students while monitoring their performance

Together these courses offer up to 51 CME credit hours.

We are working with the AOA and AAFP to bring quality EKG education courses to the medical community.

Our Programs

The introductory course:The EKG: Learn it well

The EKG: Learn it well is an introductory text that teaches EKG basics. Engaging figures and real EKG tracings illustrate concepts that are often coupled with practical clinical associations. Key points are emphasized in 14 review sections, each followed by a multiple-choice review quiz. Each review quiz is promptly graded. Repeat the quizzes as often as desired. Navigating through the text is facilitated by an extensive indexing system. Once the EKG concepts are learned you can practice your skills on real clinical cases that are promptly graded and explained. Learning the EKG well can be fun!

The EKG: Learn it well with CME

The EKG: Learn it well with CME provides 15 hours of AOA 1-A credit or 15 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. The AAFP has reviewed The EKG: Learn it well and deemed it acceptable for up to 15.00 Enduring Materials, Self-Study AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 01/04/2024 to 01/04/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The advanced course: EKGaction

EKGaction is a case-based proven educational method that teaches/reinforces EKG-interpretation skills. The method was used with great success for 15 years to teach electrocardiography to cardiology fellows. Unknown tracings are presented for the user to diagnose. Answers are promptly graded and followed by learning points and collateral tracings that provide valuable insight. A timed practice test offers preparation for a certification exam. The Quick Quiz section is composed of unknown cases that can be used to spark an action potential on rounds or in group teaching. You know how to read an EKG... why not learn to interpret an EKG like a cardiologist?

EKGaction with CME

EKGaction with CME provides 36 hours of AOA 1-A credit or 36 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM and requires completing the EKGaction course and a post test.
